A genuine Volvo Penta trim-position sensor and mounting-bracket package for classic 290, SP and DP Aquamatic drives. The potentiometer converts sterndrive angle into an electrical signal for the trim gauge or control system. The complete kit replaces earlier sensor references 873531 and 828726.

- This kit also covers the 280 sterndrive as well as the 290 series — confirm which drive is fitted before ordering, since Volvo's earlier Aquamatic potentiometer kits were split by drive model
- It is built from sensor 21985533 and bracket 22312137 supplied together, and supersedes 873531 and, before that, 828726
- Zero the sender with the drive held dead ahead before returning the boat to the water, so the trim gauge reads correctly against the actual drive angle
