🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta electronic throttle body for selected 4.3-litre V6 gasoline engines. The assembly contains the motor-driven throttle plate and integral throttle-position sensing used by the ECM to regulate intake airflow. The position sensors are integral to the housing and are not serviced as separate Volvo Penta components. Correct electronic calibration, clean induction plumbing and a leak-free throttle-body gasket are required after installation.

🔌 Function

Meters intake airflow in response to ECM commands and returns throttle-angle feedback, allowing electronic control of starting, idle, acceleration, cruise and engine-protection operating modes.

🛠️ Service Notes

• Treat it as an electrical component as much as a mechanical one: do not force the throttle plate open by hand, keep aggressive solvents out of the bore, and keep cleaner away from the connector and any sensor
• Clean the joint faces, fit a new gasket or seal and tighten evenly to the figure given in the workshop manual for your engine so the housing is not distorted
• Check the connector and harness for corrosion, spread or damaged pins and chafing before fitting; many faults blamed on the throttle body turn out to be wiring or connector faults
• Carry out any adaptation, calibration or learning procedure the engine's control system requires after fitting, then clear stored fault codes
• Make sure the air path either side is clean and that the throttle moves through its full travel without binding once assembled
