  • Splines worn, rounded or fretted
  • Metal particles in the drive oil or on the magnetic plug

  • Renew the bearings and seals that run on the shaft at the same time, as a new shaft in worn bearings will not last
  • Check the shaft for runout before fitting and lubricate the seal lips on assembly
