• Listed for ten D series engine applications
• Supersedes 22543924, catalogued earlier as a kit

🔌 Function

Applies a controlled load to the component it acts on, so a valve, plunger or lever holds its intended position or opening pressure.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Oil pressure reading low, high or unsteady
• The component it loads sticking, fluttering or not returning to its seat
• Spring found shortened, collapsed or with a broken coil
• Coils rubbed bright, corroded or pitted
• The relief or control function operating at the wrong point

🛠️ Service Notes

• Supersedes the earlier kit 22543924, and adapter 22448834 also replaces that same kit number across the same ten applications, so check which items the repair actually needs
• Check the bore and plunger the spring works in for scoring or debris before blaming the spring
• Fit the spring clean and dry into its bore, and never stretch a spring to raise its load
