A 75W-90 gear oil for Volvo Penta drives. It lubricates the gears, bearings and shaft seals inside the drive unit, carries heat away from the tooth contact and holds the additive package that protects the gear faces under load.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Level needing topping up more often than it used to
• Oil on the dipstick darkened or smelling burnt
• A milky emulsion on the dipstick, meaning water is getting in
• Metallic glitter in the oil
• Drive noise that alters with load

• For a full oil change the 5 litre 22479648 or the 20 litre 22479647 is normally the pack to order
• The exceptions matter: an SP-C at 2.15:1 and a DPH at 1.59:1 are not on this oil's list
• Frequent topping up is a leak to be traced, not a routine - the oil itself is not consumed
• The other pack sizes of the same oil are 22479650 (1 litre), 22479648 (5 litre) and 22479647 (20 litre).
