  • Five TAD series engine applications
  • Supersedes 22451536
  • Inlet and Exhaust System group

🔌 Function

Blocks radiated exhaust heat, protecting nearby components, hoses and wiring.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Scorching, discolouration or melting on nearby hoses, looms or paint
  • Shield cracked, buckled or holed
  • Rattle from a loose or broken shield
  • Mounting tabs cracked or fasteners missing
  • Higher than usual temperatures in the engine space

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Fit the shield with its full complement of fasteners and standoffs, since a shield touching the hot component conducts heat rather than blocking it
