⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Coolant loss, drips or dried residue at the hose ends
- Hose soft and spongy, or swollen where it grips the stubs
- Cracks in the outer cover, usually at the clamp line
- Cover hardened and glazed with no spring left in it
- Ballooning under running pressure

- Renew clamps that have cut into the old hose
- Check both stubs for corrosion or scoring before fitting - a pitted stub weeps however tight the clamp
