Repowering kit that lets an existing 120S saildrive be kept when the engine is replaced by a D1-13, D1-20 or D1-30, weighing 3.239 kg and listed for the D1-13F, D1-20F, D1-30F and D2-40F. Every other saildrive conversion in the D1/D2 repowering table calls for the existing saildrive to be replaced; the 120S is the single exception, and this is the kit that makes it work. Where the boat already has a sound 120S, that avoids taking the drive leg out and disturbing the hull opening it sits in.

Adapts the new D1 engine to an existing 120S saildrive so the drive leg, and the hull opening it sits in, can stay where they are.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Existing 120S found worn or leaking once the old engine is out, so keeping it is no longer sensible
• New engine cannot be aligned to the retained drive within the mount adjustment
• Bracket or adaptor faces damaged or corroded
• Vibration after the conversion, pointing to alignment rather than to the drive
• Fasteners mixed between this kit and the main bracket kit

🛠️ Service Notes

• This is an addition to the main repowering kit for the engine swap, not a replacement for it
• Inspect the 120S thoroughly while the engine is out - seals, bellows and the leg itself - because the saving disappears if it has to come out again
• It applies only to repowering to D1-13, D1-20 or D1-30; other new engines mean replacing the saildrive
