🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta camshaft from the Engine group, weighing 50 kg and listed for one TAD series engine application. Camshaft profiles are specific to the engine build, so exact identification is essential.

🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

  • Volvo Penta TAD1643VE-B
  • Engine Family: TAD

⚙️ Key Features

  • 50 kg
  • Single TAD series engine application
  • Profile specific to the engine build

🔌 Function

Opens and closes the valves in the order and at the timing the engine build requires.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Ticking or tapping from the valve gear
  • Lobes worn flat, pitted or scuffed
  • Journals scored, or the bearings worn
  • Engine down on power and running roughly
  • Metal debris in the oil or on the filter

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Renew the followers or tappets with the camshaft - a worn pair will destroy a new shaft
  • At 50 kg it needs supporting through removal and refitting so the journals are not knocked
  • Profiles are specific to the engine build, so confirm the engine designation before ordering

📦 Condition

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
