⚙️ Key Features

• 0.007 kg
• 99 V series applications
• Cooling System group

🔌 Function

Locates and steers a cooling system component so it runs true in its housing.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Rattle or knock from the cooling system
• Component running out of position or binding
• Guide worn, cracked or distorted
• Fragments of a broken guide found in the coolant

🛠️ Service Notes

• Part of the Easy Drain seawater draining system on Volvo Penta V6 and V8 petrol engines, locating and supporting the drain control run between the operating handle and the drain valve.
• The whole run has to move freely for the valve to open and close fully, so renew the guide if it is cracked, distorted or no longer holding the control where it belongs.
• It is a low-cost item in an awkward place — fit a new one as a matter of course whenever the Easy Drain handle, cable or pins are out.
• After any work on the draining system, operate the control through its full travel and confirm the engine drains and then reseals properly before the boat is left afloat.

📦 Condition
