Type H is the stainless steel Duoprop range for the Aquamatic DPH and DPI drives, designed to capture the tremendous torque from the new generation D4 and D6 engines. The patented blade geometry gives optimal interaction between the front and rear propellers for outstanding efficiency and smooth, comfortable operation, and the large blade area provides maximum grip and manoeuvrability. A shock-absorbing rubber bushing and galvanic isolation make it a matched fit for the DPI and DPH drive. This number supplies the complete H3 pair, front propeller 23623053 and rear propeller 23623063. Every set of Duoprop propellers is designed, tested and manufactured together, so the front and rear propellers of a dimension belong to each other.

🔌 Function

The H3 front and rear propellers turn in opposite directions, converting drive torque into thrust while cancelling each other's steering torque.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Vibration through the hull that grows with boat speed
• Blade edges chipped, curled or bent after contact with the ground or debris
• Engine running up against its rev limit with little thrust, which points to a bushing having slipped
• Loss of top speed, or the engine no longer reaching its rated speed
• Rope or fishing line wound in at a hub, with a damaged seal behind it

🛠️ Service Notes

• Replacing type G propellers with type H also means changing the propeller cone - cone kit 23000185
• The H2, H3 and H4 sets all carry the same published weight, so order by the size code and not by mass
• Never mix type G and type H, or two different sizes, on a drive - and in a twin installation both drives must match
• Upgrading from Type G to Type H on DPH drives keeps the same sizing - a G6 propeller corresponds to an H6 propeller.
• The propeller cone must be replaced to fit Type H propellers: propeller cone kit 23000185.
• Do not mix Type G and Type H propellers. Always use propellers of the same type and size on the drive, or on both drives in twin installations.
• Installation hardware, type H: propeller cone kit 23000185 including lock bolt M12, lock bolt M12 991609, front propeller nut 23952642 and line cutter 23777877.
• The line cutter 23777877 for Type H propellers is 95 mm / 3.7 in, 316 stainless steel, and is included as standard on DPI drives.
