Type H is the stainless steel Duoprop range for the Aquamatic DPH and DPI drives, designed to capture the tremendous torque from the new generation D4 and D6 engines. The patented blade geometry gives optimal interaction between the front and rear propellers for outstanding efficiency and smooth, comfortable operation, and the large blade area provides maximum grip and manoeuvrability. A shock-absorbing rubber bushing and galvanic isolation make it a matched fit for the DPI and DPH drive. This number supplies the complete H9 pair, front propeller 23623059 and rear propeller 23623069. Every set of Duoprop propellers is designed, tested and manufactured together, so the front and rear propellers of a dimension belong to each other.

🔌 Function

The H9 front and rear propellers turn in opposite directions to convert drive torque into thrust, balance out the steering forces and hold the engine at its approved loading.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Vibration caused by bent blades or an unmatched front and rear pair
• Hub slip, impact damage or blade-edge erosion
• Type G and Type H propellers or different sizes are mixed on the same drive

🛠️ Service Notes

• Sizing carries across from the Type G range unchanged, so a Type G propeller of the same number is the direct equivalent - but the propeller cone has to be changed as well, using type H cone kit 23000185
• Never mix Type G and Type H propellers - run the same type and size on the drive, and on both drives in a twin installation
• The H5 set 22754005, the H6 set 22754006 and the H9 set 22754009 all publish 19.051 kg, so weight does not separate them - order by the dimension code
• Upgrading from Type G to Type H on DPH drives keeps the same sizing - a G6 propeller corresponds to an H6 propeller.
• The propeller cone must be replaced to fit Type H propellers: propeller cone kit 23000185.
• Do not mix Type G and Type H propellers. Always use propellers of the same type and size on the drive, or on both drives in twin installations.
• Installation hardware, type H: propeller cone kit 23000185 including lock bolt M12, lock bolt M12 991609, front propeller nut 23952642 and line cutter 23777877.
• The line cutter 23777877 for Type H propellers is 95 mm / 3.7 in, 316 stainless steel, and is included as standard on DPI drives.
