🔌 Function

Carries trapped air out of the coolant circuit to the header tank, keeping the system free of pockets that would otherwise block flow and cause local overheating.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Temperature rising or fluctuating with air trapped in the system
• Coolant level falling with no visible leak
• Gurgling or bubbling heard from the header tank
• Bore blocked with scale or sludge, so the vent path is closed
• A split or corrosion pinhole at a bend in the pipe

🛠️ Service Notes

• Only 16 grams separate this from breather pipe 22802136 and both supersede an air vent pipe reference, so order by part number
• Blow the pipe through before fitting and bleed the circuit properly after refilling
