🔌 Function

Holds an electrical or control component in its correct position on the engine and carries the vibration loads that would otherwise be taken by the component itself.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Rattle or buzz from the component the bracket carries
• Chafed or broken wiring where a loom passes the bracket
• Cracks starting at a bolt hole or a bend line
• Elongated fixing holes and fretting marks on the mounting face
• Rust blistering or the bracket visibly distorted on removal

🛠️ Service Notes

• Look for a broken mounting or a missing anti-vibration bush before blaming the component it holds
• Fit new fasteners where the holes have elongated, and check loom clips are back in place so nothing chafes
