⚙️ Key Features

• Air shutter component from the Inlet and Exhaust System group
• 0.054 kg
• Listed for seven D series engine applications
• At 54 grams this is a component of the shutter rather than a complete assembly

🔌 Function

Forms part of the air shutter in the inlet system, closing across the inlet path to block the flow of air to the engine when it is operated.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Shutter feels stiff or sticky, or does not return to its rest position
• Shutter no longer closing fully or sealing across the inlet
• Whistle or an air leak at the shutter housing
• Pivot or spindle found worn, seized or binding on strip-down
• Soot and oily deposits built up around the shutter face

🛠️ Service Notes

• Prove the shutter moves freely through its full travel rather than assuming it will operate when it is called on
• Check parts list for your engine before ordering - this is one component of the shutter, not the whole assembly
