⚙️ Key Features

🔌 Function

Shields the surrounding equipment and the engine space from exhaust and turbocharger heat, keeping surface temperatures down and hoses and wiring out of harm.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Nearby hoses, wiring or paint discoloured or hardened by heat
• Engine space noticeably hotter than it used to be
• Insulation found torn, oil-soaked or with its facing burnt through
• Fixings or ties broken so the insulation has slipped off the component
• Scorch mark on a neighbouring part where the shield no longer covers

🛠️ Service Notes

• Fit new fixings and set the insulation back exactly where it covered originally - a gap concentrates heat on whatever is behind it
• Oil-soaked insulation is a fire risk: find and cure the leak before fitting new material
• Two insulations supersede the same reference at 0.343 kg and 0.351 kg, so order by part number against the parts list for your parts
