22928662 Radiator | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta radiator weighing 29.5 kg, superseding part number 22057430. At nearly 30 kg it is a major cooling assembly, so plan the support before removal.

⚙️ Key Features

• Radiator
• 29.5 kg
• Supersedes part number 22057430
• A major cooling assembly that needs support planned before removal

🔌 Function

Passes engine coolant through a finned core so airflow can carry the heat away, holding coolant temperature within its working range.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Coolant temperature climbing under load and settling again at low power
• Coolant loss with staining or a crusted trail down the core or the end tanks
• Fins blocked, bent flat or corroded away, so air cannot pass
• Cold patches across the core showing internal blockage
• Split seams or corroded tubes found on strip-down

🛠️ Service Notes

• At nearly 30 kg this needs proper support and a second pair of hands, not a one-person lift
• Clean the core faces and check the fan and its drive before condemning the radiator for a running-hot complaint
• Renew the hoses, clips and pressure cap while the radiator is out
