⚙️ Key Features

• 1.465 kg
• Listed for nine applications across D and TWD series engines
• Supersedes part number 17411510

🔌 Function

Holds the coolant that expands out of the engine as it warms and returns it as the engine cools, keeping the circuit full and pressurised and giving the filling and level check point.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Coolant level falling and needing regular topping up
• Coolant overflowing or being pushed out after shutdown
• Staining or crusted residue down the outside of the tank
• Tank found cracked at a seam or a mounting boss, or the neck distorted
• Cap seal perished so the system will not hold pressure

🛠️ Service Notes

• Renew the pressure cap with the tank, since a cap that will not hold pressure produces the same overheating symptoms
• Never open the cap on a hot engine - the system is pressurised and the coolant will be well above boiling point
• Check the mounting bosses and brackets, as vibration through a loose mount is what cracks these tanks
