⚙️ Key Features

🔌 Function

Carries the engine's weight and torque reaction into the structure while its resilient element isolates vibration from the hull.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• More vibration than usual through the hull, especially at particular engine speeds
• Engine sitting low or leaning, and alignment drifting between checks
• Rubber found cracked, split or squeezed out around its edges
• Excessive engine movement when the drive is loaded ahead and astern
• Corroded or seized adjuster threads found when alignment is attempted

🛠️ Service Notes

• Renew mountings as a set rather than singly, as a new one alongside settled ones throws the alignment out
• Check and reset the shaft or drive alignment after fitting, and recheck once the new mountings have settled
• Free off or renew corroded adjuster threads, since alignment cannot be set through a seized adjuster
