🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta sealant from the Chemical Products group, weighing 0.222 kg. Sealants are specified by duty rather than by engine, so check the workshop procedure for the correct product before substituting.

⚙️ Key Features

  • Sealant, Chemical Products group
  • 0.222 kg
  • Specified by duty rather than by engine, so it carries no fitment list

🔌 Function

Forms a sealing film between joint faces or on threads where the workshop procedure calls for a compound instead of a gasket.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Seepage from a joint made with an unsuitable or aged product
  • Sealant that stays tacky and never cures
  • Compound gone hard or separated in the container
  • Excess squeeze-out breaking off and blocking an oilway or coolant passage
  • Joint faces contaminated with old compound so the new seal will not bond

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Check the workshop procedure for the compound the joint calls for before substituting - sealants are specified by duty, not by engine
  • Clean both faces back to bare metal and remove every trace of old compound before applying
  • Observe the cure time before pressurising or refilling the system

📦 Condition

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
