🔌 Function

Cools the compressed air leaving the turbocharger before it reaches the cylinders, raising charge density so the engine makes its rated power and burns cleanly.

  • Oil or coolant traces found in the charge air pipework
  • Fins or end tanks visibly damaged, corroded or weeping
  • Core will not hold pressure when tested

  • Check the turbocharger, hoses and clamps before condemning the cooler, since a leak upstream gives the same symptoms
  • Renew the connecting hose seals and clamps when the cooler is disturbed
