  • Volvo Penta D2-60F

⚙️ Key Features

  • Exhaust pipe extension from the Inlet and Exhaust System group
  • 0.720 kg
  • Listed for two D series engine applications

🔌 Function

Extends the exhaust run, carrying gas onward to the point the installation requires before it is discharged.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Exhaust noise louder than usual, or fumes noticed in the engine space
  • Soot marks fanning from the joints
  • External corrosion pitting or perforating the wall
  • Cracks at a weld or at a bend
  • Clamps loose, corroded or no longer pulling the joint up

🛠️ Service Notes

  • An exhaust leak puts carbon monoxide into the vessel - trace and cure any leak before the engine is run again
  • Renew the joint gasket and clamps when the extension is fitted
  • Support the extension so its weight does not hang on the joint
