• Needle dead, stuck or sweeping erratically with the engine running
• Backlighting dim, patchy or out altogether

🛠️ Service Notes

• The 7 m engine-to-tachometer cable 23190000 is required with it, and the front ring and mounting items are ordered separately
• White-faced 23040335 covers the same engines, so the choice is panel colour rather than fitment
• Seal the panel cut-out properly on refitting — water behind the dial is what kills these
• Cable 23190000 (7 m) between engine and tachometer is required
• Extension cables from the tachometer to the additional instruments are 874759 at 1 m and 3807043 at 3 m
• In addition to the tachometer and speedometer, engine oil pressure, engine coolant temperature, drive trim position, fuel tank level and battery voltage instruments can be connected, all available with a white or black dial
