⚙️ Key Features

• For engines from serial number 12082432 onwards
• 4.736 kg
• Listed for three TAD series applications
• Supersedes 21489736
• Catalogued as a lubricating oil pump

🔌 Function

Draws oil from the sump and delivers it under pressure to the galleries feeding the bearings, pistons and valve gear.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Low oil pressure warning, worst at hot idle
• Pressure slow to come up after a cold start
• Whine or rattle from the front of the engine that follows revs
• Gear faces or the housing found scored, with visible end float on strip-down
• Debris or sludge blocking the pickup screen

🛠️ Service Notes

• Confirm the engine number falls on or after 12082432 before ordering, since the pump changed at that break
• Renew the pickup pipe seal and clean the screen at the same time - a blocked pickup will kill a new pump as fast as it killed the old one
• Prime the pump on assembly and check pressure on a gauge before returning the engine to service
