• Engine Family: TD, TAD

⚙️ Key Features

• Oil cooler
• 1.99 kg
• Listed for two applications across TD and TAD series engines
• Supersedes 21695997
• Oil cooler 23193561 is the much larger 11.59 kg alternative in this group

🔌 Function

Passes heat out of the engine oil into the coolant flowing through the other side of its core, keeping oil temperature and viscosity in range.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Oil temperature running high, with oil pressure lower than it should be when hot
• Coolant emulsified or the oil turned creamy, showing an internal leak
• Oil traces found in the coolant expansion tank
• External weeping or corrosion staining at the core or end joints
• Core found blocked or heavily scaled at strip-down

🛠️ Service Notes

• Pressure test the cooler before refitting it, since an internal leak crosses oil and coolant and will not show up dry on the bench
• Renew all the gaskets and o-rings, and flush the oil and coolant circuits if the two have mixed
• Establish why the old cooler failed - debris or scale will simply block the new one
