🔌 Function

Carries fuel between two points on the engine's fuel circuit as a made-up length complete with its end fittings.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Smell of diesel around the engine
  • Seeping or a wet film at a union
  • Air in the fuel showing as hunting, hard starting or a stall
  • Hose gone soft, swollen or cracked on the outer cover
  • Rub flat where the hose has been in contact with a bracket

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Fit new sealing washers at the unions and bleed the system before starting
  • Check and restore the routing and clips - a fuel hose left free to move will chafe through
