Genuine Volvo Penta Silent Shift upper gear, weighing 32.205 kg and listed for 152 applications across V, SX, DPS, FWD and D series engines and drives. It replaces the existing upper gear and its traditional cone clutch with a multi-plate clutch, giving smooth, near-silent shifting that is most noticeable in low-speed manoeuvring and when docking, and it mates with the lower gear of the drive already fitted. This is the unit listed against SX drives with the 1.79, 1.89, 1.97 and 2.18 ratios and against DPS and FWD drives with the 2.32 ratio, covering SX-A and newer, DPS-A and newer, and all FWD versions. 🔌 Function

Carries the drive's input shaft and upper bevel gear set on a multi-plate clutch, turning engine rotation through ninety degrees and setting the drive's gear ratio.
