🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta thermostat housing weighing 7.235 kg. It supersedes 22058773, catalogued earlier as a pump housing, and covers its 22 TAD series engine applications.

⚙️ Key Features

• Thermostat housing
• 7.235 kg
• Supersedes 22058773, catalogued earlier as a pump housing, and covers its 22 TAD series engine applications

🔌 Function

Houses the thermostat and forms the coolant passage that switches flow between the bypass and the radiator or heat exchanger as the engine warms.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Engine slow to reach temperature, or running hot under load
• Coolant seeping from the housing joint or a corroded face
• Temperature gauge swinging as flow switches unevenly
• Housing found cracked, pitted or eroded internally
• Thermostat seat corroded so the thermostat will not seal

🛠️ Service Notes

• Renew the thermostat, gasket and sealing rings with the housing rather than reusing the old ones
• Because it also replaces a part once listed as a pump housing, check what is actually fitted to the engine before ordering
• Refill and bleed the system fully and check for leaks at temperature before handing back
