⚙️ Key Features

• Protecting screen from the Cooling System group
• 0.913 kg
• Listed for three TAD series engine applications
• A blocked screen shows up as rising temperatures

🔌 Function

Screens the cooling airflow before it reaches the radiator core, catching debris that would otherwise pack into the fins and block the air path.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Coolant temperature rising under load and easing off when the load is removed
• Mesh visibly packed with leaves, fibres, insects or salt deposits
• Mesh torn, holed or pushed in so debris passes straight through
• Frame distorted or fixings slack so the screen no longer sits against the core
• Radiator fins found packed with debris behind a damaged screen

🛠️ Service Notes

• Clean and inspect the screen before condemning the radiator - a blocked screen produces the same overheating symptoms at a fraction of the cost
• Check the radiator fins behind it while the screen is off; debris that has already passed through needs clearing too
• A torn screen is not worth patching - the debris it lets through costs more than the part
