⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Screen blank, flickering, or dim where the backlight has faded
• Data dropping out or the display reporting a loss of communication
• Condensation or misting behind the glass after a wet passage
• Corrosion or bent pins on the connector at the back of the unit
• Bezel, glass or mounting cracked where the unit has worked loose

🛠️ Service Notes

• Check the supply voltage and the data connection at the unit before replacing it, a display that has lost its feed looks identical to one that has failed
• Reseal the panel aperture on refitting, water tracking down behind the helm is the usual cause of the next failure
• Support the weight of the unit while the fixings are out
