Bolts to the engine to give the crane or hoist a rated point to lift from, spreading the load into the engine structure instead of into a casing or a cover.

  • Bolt holes elongated or the mounting face dished
  • Cracking around a weld or at the root of the eye
  • Fixing bolts found loose or stretched on removal

  • Renew the mounting bolts and torque them to the engine manual figure, and never lift on one eye where the engine is designed to be lifted on two
