  • Volvo Penta TB66-150-A
  • Engine Family: HPCU, TB

⚙️ Key Features

  • CCCM control unit
  • Listed for two HPCU and TB applications
  • Normally matched to the installation, so the required configuration must be confirmed before ordering

🔌 Function

Electronic control unit that manages its part of the vessel's control system, reading the inputs on the network and driving the outputs that operate the equipment it looks after.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Warning lamps or alarm messages at the helm with no obvious mechanical cause
  • The function it manages working intermittently or dropping out altogether
  • Communication faults logged against the unit
  • Corrosion or water tracking found in the connector on strip-down
  • Unit dead and unresponsive with supply voltage and ground confirmed good

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Check the supply voltage, the ground and the connector pins before condemning the unit - damp connectors cause most of the faults blamed on control units
