🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta ring from the Marine Propulsion group, listed for three applications across IPS pod drives and D series engines.

🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

  • Volvo Penta IPS40-A
  • Volvo Penta D13C8-B MP
  • Volvo Penta D13C4-B MP
  • Engine Family: IPS, D

⚙️ Key Features

  • Listed for three applications across IPS pod drives and D series engines
  • Marine Propulsion group

🔌 Function

Locates or retains a component within the pod drive assembly, holding it against the shoulder it works from.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Knock or rattle from the drive that follows shaft speed
  • Free play where the ring should be holding a part fast
  • Ring found distorted, cracked or unseated on strip-down
  • Bright fretting marks in the groove or on the ring faces
  • Debris from the ring found in the gearcase oil

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Check the groove or shoulder it seats in for wear before refitting anything
  • Renew rather than reuse if the ring has lost its shape - a slack ring will work loose again

📦 Condition

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
