Closes an opening in the pod drive housing, keeping seawater and debris out of the space behind it and retaining the oil inside.

  • Weeping or oil staining around the cover joint
  • Water found in the space the cover closes
  • Corrosion or pitting around the fixing holes
  • Cover distorted so it no longer sits flat
  • Gasket or seal behind it found flattened or split

  • Renew the gasket or seal behind the cover whenever it is removed
  • Check the cover for flatness and the housing face for corrosion before refitting
