23557470 Gasket | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta gasket from the Inlet and Exhaust System group, weighing 0.077 kg. It supersedes 23557475, catalogued as a gasket kit, and covers its 85 applications across TAMD, AD, D, TMD, KAD and KAMD series engines - so it can be bought alone when only this gasket is needed.

⚙️ Key Features

• Gasket from the Inlet and Exhaust System group
• 0.077 kg
• Supersedes 23557475, catalogued earlier as a gasket kit
• Covers 85 applications across TAMD, AD, D, TMD, KAD and KAMD series engines
• Also supersedes Volvo part number 843009

🔌 Function

Seals an inlet or exhaust flange joint, compressing between the two faces so gas cannot escape past them.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Blowing or ticking from the joint that follows engine speed
• Soot fanning out from the flange edge
• Exhaust smell or heat around the joint in the engine space
• Loss of boost pressure if the leak is on the charged side
• Gasket found blown, hardened or unevenly crushed on removal

🛠️ Service Notes

• Because it replaces a kit number, this gasket can now be bought on its own when only this seal is being renewed
• Gaskets are single-use, and both faces should be cleaned and checked for warp before fitting
