🔌 Function

Closes the fuel path on command so supply can be isolated - for stopping the engine or for isolating the circuit during service.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Engine continuing to run after the stop command, or refusing to stop cleanly
  • Engine failing to start because the valve is not opening
  • No click heard from the valve when it is operated
  • Diesel weeping from the valve body or its unions
  • Valve found seized, or its coil open circuit, on test

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Prove the supply and earth at the valve before condemning it - a valve with no signal is indistinguishable from a failed one at the engine
  • Renew the sealing washers on the unions and bleed the circuit after fitting
