  • Bearings, rings or valve plate found worn or carboned up on strip-down

  • Check the drive, the intake path and the downstream system for a restriction or leak before condemning the compressor - a leaking system gives the same slow-build symptom
  • Renew the mounting gaskets and any oil feed sealing rings when the unit is refitted
