Genuine Volvo Penta high-pressure fuel pump for D-series marine diesel engines. It raises fuel to the very high pressure the common-rail injection system needs, so that injectors can meter and atomise each delivery accurately. Pump condition directly governs rail pressure, and therefore starting, power delivery and emissions behaviour.

🔌 Function

The high-pressure pump draws filtered fuel from the supply circuit and compresses it into the common rail at the pressure demanded by the control system. Rail pressure is what allows the injectors to deliver a precisely timed, finely atomised charge.
