⚙️ Key Features

• Starter motor weighing 3.479 kg
• Listed for five applications
• Supersedes part number 23652950

🔌 Function

Turns the engine over to start it, the pinion throwing into the flywheel ring gear and cranking until the engine fires.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• A single click and no crank when the key is turned
• Slow, laboured cranking with a healthy, charged battery
• Grinding, or a whirring pinion that never engages
• Burning smell or hot cables at the starter terminals
• Brushes worn down, or the solenoid contacts found pitted on strip-down

🛠️ Service Notes

• Check the battery, cables and earth straps before condemning the starter - voltage drop gives identical symptoms
• Inspect the flywheel ring gear teeth while the starter is out
• It supersedes 23652950, so the number stamped on an existing unit may not match the current one
