Type H is the stainless steel Duoprop range for the Aquamatic DPH and DPI drives, designed to capture the tremendous torque from the new generation D4 and D6 engines. The patented blade geometry gives optimal interaction between the front and rear propellers for outstanding efficiency and smooth, comfortable operation, and the large blade area provides maximum grip and manoeuvrability. A shock-absorbing rubber bushing and galvanic isolation make it a matched fit for the DPI and DPH drive. This is the H7 rear propeller; the matching front propeller is 23623057, and the pair is also listed as set 22754007. Every set of Duoprop propellers is designed, tested and manufactured together, so the front and rear propellers of a dimension belong to each other.

🔌 Function

Works in the wake of the front propeller as the trailing half of the counter-rotating H7 pair, recovering rotational energy and cancelling the steering torque the front propeller makes.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Vibration through the hull that grows with boat speed
• Steering pulling to one side as the counter-rotating balance is lost
• Chipped, curled or bent blade edges
• Fishing line or weed wound in at the hub, with a damaged seal behind it
• Blade faces pitted or eroded by cavitation on strip-down

🛠️ Service Notes

• The H7 and H8 rear propellers cannot be told apart by weight - check the size code before fitting
• Coming from type G propellers, the size carries across one for one but the propeller cone must be changed as well, using cone kit 23000185
• A line cutter for DPH and DPI drives with type H propellers fits between the propellers on the existing propeller nut, and is worth considering wherever ropes and nets are a risk
• Upgrading from Type G to Type H on DPH drives keeps the same sizing - a G6 propeller corresponds to an H6 propeller.
• Do not mix Type G and Type H propellers. Always use propellers of the same type and size on the drive, or on both drives in twin installations.
• Installation hardware, type H: propeller cone kit 23000185 including lock bolt M12, lock bolt M12 991609, front propeller nut 23952642 and line cutter 23777877.
• The line cutter 23777877 for Type H propellers is 95 mm / 3.7 in, 316 stainless steel, and is included as standard on DPI drives.
