🔌 Function

Displays engine oil pressure at the helm, reading the resistance of the pressure sender and moving the needle against the scale.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Needle reading high, low or hard against a stop
• Pressure reading that does not fall as the engine idles hot
• Needle flickering or jumping with engine speed
• Backlight dim or dead while the needle still works
• Condensation or a fogged lens behind the glass

🛠️ Service Notes

• The gearbox gauge 23715885 uses a 10 to 211 ohm range and reads to 30 bar, and is not interchangeable with this one
• The harness, mounting kit and front ring are in the box, so no separate ring is needed
• Check the sender, the earth and the gauge supply, and confirm the real pressure with a mechanical gauge before condemning the instrument
• The range is built in two sizes - 85 mm and 52 mm - and is designed to fit Volvo Penta instrument panels. 85 mm gauges suit an 80 mm, 85 mm or 90 mm panel hole with the attaching ring and adapter rings included; 52 mm gauges suit a 52 mm or 60 mm hole with the included adapter rings
• If the panel already in the boat is not one of the Volvo Penta instrument panels in this range, the panel hole diameter may need to be modified to suit the new gauge's diameter
• A mounting kit for flush mounting can be ordered where it is needed; the kit contains the o-ring, fixing brackets and nuts
• For an industrial engine application where the instruments are connected to the CIU, the EasyLink instruments are the ones used instead
• Adapter cable / wiring harness, mounting kit and front ring are included with this gauge, unlike the EVC instrument range where the ring is a separate order
• Match the system voltage where the gauge is voltage-specific
