🔌 Function

Provides the machine-to-engine control interface, distributes operating information and communicates with the engine management system. Programming is required so the replacement module uses the correct engine and machine parameters.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• No communication with the EVC or engine-control network
• Intermittent CAN-bus, power-supply or module fault codes
• Engine, station or propulsion function remains unavailable
• Corrosion, water entry, damaged connectors or overheated circuitry
• Replacement module cannot be commissioned because software or configuration does not match

🛠️ Service Notes

• Includes the engine-side CIM wiring harness (23443717) as well as the module itself — check whether the harness is also damaged, since ordering the CIM alone won't fix a harness fault
• The replacement module must be programmed with VODIA or equivalent workshop software before the engine will run correctly — this is not a plug-and-play swap
• Hardware revision can vary by engine family and serial number even though this is one part number — confirm against the engine serial before assuming an old CIM and the current 23766385 are functionally identical
