🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta bellows from the Inlet and Exhaust System group, listed for one TWD series engine application. Bellows absorb thermal movement in the exhaust run.

🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

  • Volvo Penta TWD1744GE
  • Engine Family: TWD

⚙️ Key Features

  • Bellows from the Inlet and Exhaust System group
  • Listed for one TWD series engine application

🔌 Function

Provides the flexible section in the exhaust run, taking up thermal growth and engine movement so the fixed pipework is not stressed.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Exhaust leak or a ticking noise at the flexible section
  • Soot marks around the convolutions
  • Convolutions cracked, split or stretched out of shape
  • Bellows crushed or collapsed after the pipework has moved
  • Outer braid frayed or broken

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Check the alignment and support of the pipework each side - a bellows that fails early was taking a load it was never meant to carry
  • Never use the bellows to pull a misaligned joint together
  • Renew the joint gaskets and fixings at the same time

📦 Condition

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
