🔌 Function

Carries part of the inlet or exhaust installation, taking its weight and thermal movement so the pipe joints do not have to.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Drumming or rattle from the pipework it supports
• Joints leaking soot or boost as the run works loose
• Cracks at the bolt holes or across a welded section
• The bracket distorted by the thermal movement of the run
• Fixings loose, snapped or missing

🛠️ Service Notes

• Support the weight while the fixings are started - this is a five-kilo bracket, not a clip
• Fit and align it before finally tightening the pipe joints, so the run is not pulled into place
