⚙️ Key Features

• Valve spring from the Engine group
• 0.054 kg
• The lightest of the four valve springs listed here
• Supersedes 3183211
• Listed for four TAD series engine applications

🔌 Function

Returns the valve to its seat after the cam has opened it, and keeps the valve train loaded so it follows the cam profile.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Noisy valve gear, particularly a tap that will not adjust out
• Loss of power or a misfire at higher revs
• Broken coil found on strip-down
• Free length below specification when measured
• Spring ends no longer square, or the coils rubbed bright

🛠️ Service Notes

• Renew as a set rather than singly - mixed spring rates load the valve train unevenly
• Four springs here run from 0.054 kg to 0.135 kg on different engines, so order by part number
• Measure the free length of the removed springs before deciding what else to renew
