🔌 Function

Carries the high tension spark from the coil lead to each plug lead in turn as it rotates inside the distributor cap.

• Misfire that is worse in damp weather
• Hard starting with a weak or erratic spark
• Brass tip burnt, eroded or blackened
• Carbon tracking lines on the underside of the arm or inside the cap
• Cracks in the moulding around the centre boss

• Renew cap, arm and leads together - a worn cap will ruin a new arm in short order
• Check the arm seats fully down on the shaft and that its drive slot is not worn oval
