🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta set screw from the Marine Propulsion group, listed for three IPS pod drive applications.

🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

  • Volvo Penta IPS15-C
  • Volvo Penta IPS30-E
  • Volvo Penta IPS20-E
  • Engine Family: IPS

⚙️ Key Features

  • Set screw from the Marine Propulsion group
  • Listed for three IPS pod drive applications
  • Genuine Volvo Penta fastener

🔌 Function

Clamps or locates a component against a mating face in the pod drive assembly, holding position under the vibration and thrust the drive sees in service.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Fastener found loose or backed out on inspection
  • Head drive rounded or chewed so a tool will not bite
  • Thread galled or stripped when the screw is removed
  • Corrosion locking the screw into its tapping
  • Component it retains has moved or fretted against its seat

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Clean and inspect the female thread before refitting - a damaged tapping will not hold a new screw either
  • Order by part number, since drive fasteners of similar size are not interchangeable by eye

📦 Condition

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
