🔌 Function

Shields nearby components and the engine bay from the radiant heat of the exhaust and turbocharger.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Scorched or hardened hoses, looms and paint near the exhaust
  • Shield rattling or drumming at particular engine speeds
  • Panel cracked around its mounting holes
  • Metal heat-blued or buckled where it runs closest to the exhaust
  • Fixings found missing so the shield sits against the exhaust

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Two earlier references are now covered by this one number, so an older parts list may show a different part for the same position
