- Fluid gone dark brown or black instead of red
- A burnt smell at the dipstick or filler
- Slipping, harsh or delayed gear engagement
- Level dropping, with pink staining under the transmission
- Metal or friction material found in the fluid at a change
🛠️ Service Notes
- It must not be used where a GL-5 gear oil is specified - confirm what the unit calls for before filling
- Check and correct the level at the temperature and in the gear position the manual states; readings change with both
- Must not be used where API-GL5 is recommended
