🔌 Function

Activates the Joystick Driving feature on this quadruple-D13 Marine Commercial installation's control system, letting the helmsman drive the pods directly from the joystick for docking and close-quarters manoeuvring, independent of the Volvo Penta autopilot bundled into other joystick packages.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Joystick has no effect on the drives, or docking control cannot be selected at the helm
  • Feature missing after the licence is loaded, usually because a licence for the wrong engine count was ordered instead
  • Boat swings or fails to respond predictably under joystick control, pointing to a drive or steering-actuator fault rather than the licence
